The short answer
A colour consultation resolves the whole house at once — walls, trims, ceilings, exterior and roof — tested in your own light on large-format boards rather than chosen from chips under showroom fluorescents.
Colour chips lie. A white that reads warm in the showroom turns clinical under a southern Melbourne sky, and a soft grey can pull green against a garden or blue against a slate roof.
Our consultation happens in your home, at the hours you actually use each room. We build a full palette — walls, trims, ceilings, exterior and roof — and paint large-format boards so you approve real colour, not a postage stamp.
Consultation fee is credited in full against any painting proposal you proceed with.
How we prepare
Preparation is where the money either goes or gets saved, and it is the part you cannot see once the job is finished. This is exactly what happens before colour goes on.
We visit at the hours you actually use each room. A north-facing living room and a south-facing bedroom will not take the same white, and no chip in a store can tell you that.
Flooring, benchtops, tiles, roof colour and brickwork are not changing. The palette is built to sit with them rather than fighting undertones you cannot remove.
A2 boards painted in your shortlisted colours are moved around the room across the day. Colour on a 100mm chip reads several shades lighter than the same colour across a whole wall.
You receive a written schedule mapping every colour, sheen and product to every surface — the document your painter, and any future painter, actually works from.
